Lebanon Police Department, Lebanon, NH
As a result of the Lebanon Police Station outgrowing its
facilities in the basement of City Hall, the City Council created a
facilities committee, chaired by Karen Wadsworth, to build modern facilities
to serve public safety needs.
Members of our staff assisted the committee with assessing
public sites, developing site selection criteria, and assisting with
public presentations to narrow the search to a single site. As a result
of this exciting and dynamic process, which included managing and addressing
the controversy associated in our modern culture, the City chose a site
on municipally owned land on Poverty Lane adjacent to the Lebanon Airport.
In addition to a number of other factors, the central
location of the site with respect to downtown West Lebanon and Lebanon
proved critical in the decision making process. Members of our staff
then assisted the City with selecting *Peter Scoppetone as clerk-of-the-works
and worked with Peter and the City to choose an architect to round out
the design team. Members of our staff worked with the team to develop
design plans, manage permitting process, and assist with project construction.
